Jets Make HUGE Changes

The Winnipeg Jets had enough of the slow long rebuild and needed new players on this team to start making the next steps in the MRFHL. 

Last Season the top line was Antropov, Horcoff, Hemsky, J.Johnson and Hjalmarsson.  AFter that the rest of the PRO team was a disgrace and just sick looking! 

"I had enough of puking every morning when I looked at the Roster last year.  lol.   It was time to make this team compete for the playoffs, and get some more proven young guys in place along with some top prospects to start making us win now and still look good for the future.   I have made so many moves and trying to forget some of the pieces that were moved out, but lets just say from our whole organization, about 85 Percent of the team moved to different organizations.  It will be easier to tell you some of the key guys brought in and what our lineup is looking like now.  Which we feel is a huge improvement and I expect this team to be making the playoff next season."  Says Schurman.

First we Got a brand new head coach in Winnipeg.  We are pleased to have Craig Hartsburgh come in as our new Head Coach this season.  He can bring a good all around defensve game and offesnive game.  Welcome Craig!

In other Moves we have brought in top guys like Mike Richards, Pacioretty, Stepan, Backes, Hamhuis, J.Schultz, D.Hamiton among others to fill out the roster.   There were tons of moves trading prospects, picks and acquiring other picks.   We ended up trading for the 1st overall pick, we had the 3rd and 4th overall pick too.  On Draft day we moved the 4th overall for D.Hamilton as we need a future top pairing d man and with Jones going 2nd overall, we knew we needed to add that D by moving the pick.   2nd rounders and other players were moved to acquire Hamhuis as well, who is signing a  4 year contract extension real soon.

Heading into Free Agency the Jets have some extra cash, and are looing to sign up a Backup Goalie, along with a 1st or 2nd Line Winger.  this team will be ready for the season.

For the future we have 2 Elite Forwards in the makign with Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin.  Who should be ready to play in a year or two.  Vasilevski gives us stability in goal in the future as well.

I can now say I am really excited with the roster we have and the upcoming season and Jets Fans are can't wait for things to get going!
