That's Two!

2017-04-30

Raleigh, NC.

A frustrated fanbase had all their troubles relieved last night as playoff hockey finally returned to Raleigh. They were out tailgating and when time for puck drop came, the building was packed and ready to rumble. The Canes responded to the energy by beating the Senators 5-2.

Other than Cory Schneider, the Hurricanes' stars weren't the ones in the spotlight this time. Nick Schultz and Zack Smith lead the way for the Hurricanes offense behind a solid 32-save performance from Schneider. "Obviously, it's a great feeling to reward our fans with a playoff win on home ice" said Henrik Sedin, "they've deserved it and have stuck with us through the ups and downs this season".

"We wanted to come out hard on them after losing Game 2 by such a close score", said head coach, Willie Desjardins, "fortunately, we stuck to our game plan and were able to come out and reward this fanbase. Looking ahead to Game 4, I'll be looking for the same effort as we look to put ourselves in a position to eliminate the Senators".

Game 4 is already SOLD OUT but there will be a public viewing party outside PNC Arena. Fans are welcome to attend for free and there will be prize giveaways. I don't think you'll find any fans disappointed with the results by the Hurricanes so far in these playoffs.
