Rangers Get New GM

2019-02-20

"I'm excited for the challenge"

Rangers new GM answering the media scrum,

"We've got some high level talent here, and quality prospects in our system.  That excites me, and should excite the Ranger faithful here in Manhattan."

There's no doubt that the top player on opposing GM's list is Mitch Marner.  The immensely talented winger is considered the Rangers key building cog and could possibly be the toughest asset to acquire in the whole league.  That won't stop Males' fellow GMs from calling on Marner.

"I wouldn't talk specifics with everyone regarding trade talks unless something was signed off on.  We are extremely lucky to have a player of Mitch's capabilities and we look forward to watching him grow as a hockey player."

Other than Marner, it's expected that Males will float every other player on his roster out there to see what sort of movement can come out of it.

Rangers will look to deal NIno Neiderreiter, Bobby Ryan, Drew Stafford, and Justin Abdelkader.  As well as UFAs Kevin Shattenkirk, Steve Mason, and Scott Hartnell
