Bruins Oozing Machismo

2021-10-29

The Boston Bruins have made plenty of off-season moves to reward loyal fans and show continued commitment to win a Cup. This summer General Manager Scott Hall revamped the roster.

After another unsuccessful campaign, Boston headed into the off-season with plenty of question marks. When asked about the off-season moves GM Scott Hall said “Ay yo…chico. Chalk one up for the bad guys. We took out the trash and mowed the lawn. Putting the league on notice to keep your girlfriends at home because we out on the prowl.”

Some of that trash included Fredrick Anderson who after many years of being the top netminder, went unsigned. Sami Vatanen and Ryan Johansen were also tossed to the curb. In the wake of the expansion draft Damon Severson was left unprotected. This made adding a veteran presence to the blueline a top priority. Landing top free agent Brent Burns helped to take pressure off the young emerging group of defenders. Leading up to the draft GM Hall focused his efforts on adding depth. In the past Boston has relied on their top two lines to carry the team. This season the Bruins have put together four lines described by GM Hall as “oozing machismo”. New faces include Sean Monahan, Jake DeBrusk, Teuvo Teravainen Cody Glass, and Marcus Johansson. solidified their offence. Despite a flawless preseason, the Bruins locker room was hit by COVID-19 resulting in a mishmash of lines. With all players cleared by the commissioners the Bruins hope to have their lines setup correctly to bounce back from a slow start to a promising season.
