Lightning Strikes in Tampa

It seemed that not long ago, the Tampa Bay Lightning were in their glory and all was good.

Suddenly everything changed.

With the Bolts sitting in the bottom of the Eastern Conference, ownership felt it was time to bring in some Size to help right this ship and turn things around. The club announced that Duran Size would become the new GM for Tampa in the MRFHL.

"I’m thrilled to be here and ready for the challenge" Size was quoted saying in his first days as GM.

While we have been welcomed with open arms across the league and Size was also quoted saying that his "phone has been blowing up" mere hours after accepting the job.

"Guess the bulletin went to all the GMs rather quickly"

We have a long road ahead of us, we cannot rest on our laurels and we will find a way to be competitive down the stretch and do the best we can.

Asked if they were going to tank for the rights to select Connor McDavid first overall "Absolutely not"

Size does plan on moving his veteran players though for a chance to bring in younger players with a chance to create a solid core for a number of years.

"We talked to our captains well in advance and we wanted them to understand the direction we are taking and what we are hoping to accomplish." This also helps as the veteran players will undoubtedly look to find themselves on a contender for the cup since it is becoming obvious that a rebuild is in order.

Size also plans on meeting with his coaching staff as well to assess their direction as well.

"We will do what we must to ensure stability and direction for this organization"
