Future in Arizona looks good

2018-06-09

Arizona Coyotes has two leagues best young players in their system, Center Auston Matthews and goalie Juuse Saros have already showed that they are real good players and GM Laakso will build his team around these two.

"Yeah, Matthews is already one of the best centers in this league and Juuse will soon be a starter. Mikael Granlund will be a good winger for Matthews for years, but we do need a good RW prospect in our system. That's what we are looking for this upcoming draft. Right now we don't good enough dmen to top-2 roles, but in future he will have Dante Fabbro and Henri Jokiharju." GM Laakso tells.

"We do have good prospects already, but there are too many questionmarks around them still. Brett Howden and Riley Tufte has potential to be top-6 forwards, but it will take couple of years. I really hope that Lauri Korpikoski or Markus Granlund can stay long enough to give strenght to our team. Luke Schenn and young Kyle Wood seems to have a good and long career in Arizona too. Robin Lehner is avery good goalie, he will make it hard for Sarois to takes a #1 job. When that happens, we wil a good back-up for Saros. That is one of our targets in draft too."

"Other prospects that seems to be future MRFHLers are Max Jones, Adam Fox and Maxi Letunov. They seems to have potential for top-9 roles. Andrew Cogliano and Patrik Wiercioh are players that I wan to keep for long."

What about Evander Kane? You haven't mentioned him at all?

" He's a very good player, and I'd like to keep him. But he wants to move, his wife doesn't want to stay here in hot Arizona. I will check if I can find a new home for Kane family. We are still rebuilding, so I may eeven trade him for a prospect or pick, but first I have to find a partner for that trade."
