It is with sadness that I announce my retirement from SIM Hockey.

I formally tendered my resignation to Dylan via e-mail a few minutes ago.

I have been doing this since 1999 and over the years I have been part of some wonderful leagues, this being one of them. I have virtually met some very good people. People that I wish all the best to in whatever they choose to do.

As I explained in my resignation, I have lost the desire to do all that needs to be done to run a team.

To the GM's of this league, past and present.

Thank you for joy you bring to these leagues. Thank you for the conversations, negotiations and competition. While I looked to these leagues as enjoyement, I also did it for the competition as that is still something that was burning inside of me. The fire needed to continue that is no longer raging.

I will check in from time to time as I still enjoy the sport and will want to see what the new GM does with the team, but effective immediately I resign my post as GM of the New York Rangers in the MRFHL.

Phil is truly the Godfather of this league; always a voice of reason and will sorely be missed. One of the last remaining GM's to out date me in this league, it's really sad to see you go. Nothing but the best for the future my friend.

This hits hard. There's only a handful of people that are still here from when I first joined back in 2008, and losing another one, especially one as great as Phil is definitely a big loss for the league. Thanks Phil and best of luck in the future!
