Changes a coming

2011-01-26

After the recent struggles of the Pittsburgh Penguins team over the past couple of weeks, you can expect some changes to start coming over the team soon. Starting off an amazing 17-2-5 and things seeming to be bright, GM Bennett decided to pull some triggers for the club to keep them competitive, but also help them build towards the future. However the trades backfired as the Penguins have been starting to slide of late. Bennett addressed the media on the recent struggles of his team.

"With the recent struggles of our squad, we would like to advise our fan base to stay calm and remember this is only the first year of the 3 year plan. We are building this team to compete in the future as well as watching our contracts and cap. The moves we have made of the past couple of weeks are to help free up cash for upcoming rfas next year and to make sure we have enough cash to sign our leader Sidney Crosby. However, if the team continues to slide this year, changes will be made and as of right now I have been working the phone lines vigurously to find something to get us out of this slide. We want to make the playoffs. We will make the playoffs. We will win the cup atleast once in the next 3 years. You can count on this, " GM Bennett announced via press conference.
