There's a Storm brewing in Tampa

2015-01-29

GM Duran Size wants the MRFHL to know one thing.

The Lightning are coming.

The latest victory heading into the All-Star break, a decisive 4-1 victory over the Flyers, a top contender in the Brendl division, has continued to show the effect of the changes that have been made to the Tampa Bay Lightning since Size took over back in November.

The atmosphere has been much different in the locker room and in the play on the Ice. The Tampa Bay Times Forum has been one of the most booming arenas in the MRFHL establishing a massive increase in attendence since the take over.

"We want to ensure that we are putting a strong product on the ice that draws fans into the game." The moves that Size has made has brought a youthful, energetic presence both in the locker room and on the ice that, if Size can manage it, can keep this core intact for a few years and remain a contender.

with victories over the Jets, top team in the league, and the Sabres, 2nd in the Daigle division, the Lightning are clearly trending in the right direction and pushing towards the playoffs. Making the right moves, which includes the hiring of Paul Maurice, have dramatically increased the chemistry and the productiion from the team.

GM Duran Size is very confident in this team and could be looking to quiet things down on trade talks as this team continues to come together very well. While he hasn't said much since, the Lightning could still be looking to shore up their defence but will not jeopardize the core of the team to make it happen.
