Saturday All Star Summary

The First Set of Games were held Saturday iin Winnipeg, and the Fans got to see alot of Offense and Goals the 1st day of the All Star Festivities.  

First game featured the battle of West Coast Bro Show and Team Nature Boy.   In a highly offsensive 1st period the teams put 11 goals on the score board in the 1st period, with Nature Boy leading 7-4 after the 1st period of play.   Most of the game was all about offense until the mid way mark in the 3rd period.  Torey Krug was enjoying the thrashing his team was giving West Coast Bro Show, but that wast not enough, as he grapped Patrik Sharp and started a fight. Sharp held his own against Krug as the fight ended in a draw, but the fans loved the entertainment from these 2 guys.   Krug recieved a game mis conduct for instigating a fight.        As the horn sounded off at the end of the Game.. Team Nature Boy won 13-8.  Zdeno Chara was 1st Star of the Game wih 5 assist.

Next up was team Host VS  Rookies.   Hosts Started off strong, scoring 22 seconds into the 1st period and they did not look back in that period as the score was 7-2 after 20 minutes of play.   Sidney Crosby for team Host instigated a fight with Jacob Trouba close to the end of the 1st period.   The 2 players fought to a draw in a very rare fight for Sid, something must of pissed him off, he was letting the fans know he wants to win this thing and wasn't lettingn anything stop him.   That was not all the fighting as the 3rd period was underway, Neal and Oshie fought to  a draw, and a few minutes later Jets very own Henrik Zetterberg beat up former team mate Pavel Datsyuk.  The Fans were going crazy and just loved the excitement.   As the horn sounded off, TEAM Host won the game 10-6.  Landeskog was the 1st star of the game finishing with 2 goals and 2 assists.  

"Very thrilled to be in the final game Sunday.   Can't wait to take down Team Nature Boys"  Says Schurman.
