Oilers draw Jets in the first round.

2017-04-23

The results are in. The Oilers are going to fuck up play the Winnipeg Jets in the first round of the playoffs. GM Tanner Braithwaite was asked about this matchup, and seems to be confident in his team.

"I came into this season to do two things, 1. Do a shit tonne of Oxycodone, and 2. beat down the Winnipeg Jets. And Mike Richards lost all my Oxy at the border so I guess there is only one thing left to do."

The Oilers played the Jets 3 times at the beginning of the year, going 1-2 in 3 hard fought games. a 3-2 victory over the Jets was sandwiched between a pair of 4-2 losses.

But both teams are not reflective of who they were at the beginning of the season. Major additions were made in order to make these teams competitive. The Jets added Cam Fowler to an already deep defensive core, and added former 30 goal scorer in Jeff Skinner.

The Oilers brought in their #1 center in Ryan O'Reilly in a trade earlier this year, and solidified their goaltending by bringing in Sergei Bobrovsky. The real threat on the oilers may come from the blue line in the form of last seasons acquisition TJ Brodie, or after the season he just had, TJ Norris.

Both teams are coming to play, and the winner of this series will have to rip this victory from the losers grasp.
