Hawks Roster Takes Shape With Massive Move

After being fairly active in terms of adding minor pieces in free agency, Chicago made a huge splash today. The team made a franchise altering move acquiring top defenceman Seth Jones from Carolina in exchange for Adam Henrique, Shayne Gostisbehere, and Olli Maatta. Also heading to Chicago is winger Stefan Matteau. "There are few defenceman around the league we hold in the same regard as Jones, that being said we paid a heavy price today sending three excellent young players to Carolina. We feel though that our unparalleled depth allows us to comfortably make a move like this" were the words from Hawks GM Todd Semonick.
