Chara Signs with Winnipeg

The Jets are excited to annouunce Zdeno Chara has signed a 1 year deal with the Winnipeg Jets.   Rumour has it he took less money to come to the Jets.

"I am thrilled to go to a great Canadian City.  Out of all the offers, i feel this is the best place for me to join to have a chance at the Stanley Cup.  Which is the most important thing I want at this stage of my Career. "  Says Chara.

The Jets who are expecting to be very competetive again this season, and wanna get back to the finals for another go at the Cup, have brought in Chara to fill out there Defence.   

"Chara is a huge man, who keeps himselft in great shape.  His EX an LD will be a huge addition to our club, along with his great Defensive play.  He can bring alot to our team with his attitude and Hockey IQ.   He can still play a very physical game as well at the age of 42.  We are very happy he is joining our Franchise for the upcoming Season.  We feel he could be the missing piece to our Club.  We have a great goalie an some great forwards.  A Top 3 D man was the only thing really lacking in my mind."   smiled Schurman.
