2009-04-01Round 1 The Pittsburgh Penguins are getting ready to face their division leaders in the Philadelphia Flyers . This series brings a huge rivalry and a battle of the best in the state of Pennsylvania. The 7th seeded Penguins will take on an explosive 2nd seeded Flyers team that was only a few points shy of the Presidents trophy . The Penguins ownership have decided to rebuild the team for this year and not to many analyst had them even making the postseason this year , the team made some changes and brought in a new Gm just before deadline . With all odds against them the Penguins were able to sneak through into the postseason and now have a chance to pull out a big upset in the first round as the team currently has no high expectations or pressure going up against the highly favored Flyers . Its kind of nice going into this series as huge Underdogs (Crosby says ) . We are definetly gonna give the Flyers everything we have to offer and give them a good run for their money . We are excited and this will be a great test for us looking on for the future . This will help some of our guys gain great experience and for management to access the holes that are missing for us to be able to compete at a high level for next year . However we are still optimistic we can play spoiler and we will be leading to are Captain in Sidney Crosby to show the hockey world exactly what he can do .
