Penguins Getting ready for the Draft

The Pittsburgh Penguins Management are getting really excited and anxious for this years draft . The Penguins currently hold onto 6 first round picks and the team has had alot of meetings with some of the prospects earlier in the week at the colombine . The team has said they are well prepared and will remain busy until draft day finding pieces to help them be more prepared for draft day . With that being said the team will still be shopping around some of their 1st picks for those interested in taking part of this exciting and deep draft .

Gm Behm has made some significant changes so far and has said this is only the start of a long offseason for the Penguins .

In  - Ryan Getzlaf , Marc Savard , Pascal Leclaire and Josh Tordjman (Prospect)

Out - Devin Setoguchi , Jiri Tlusty , Teddy Purcell , Jimmy Hayes (Prospect) , Cgy 1st 2009 , Pho 1st 2009 and Philly 1st 2009

We felt it was important to bring in some impact players right away and address are goaltending situation right away before the draft starts . We needed some help down the middle and take alot of the pressure off of our Captain Sidney Crosby . With Crosby , Getzlaf and Savard down the middle we should be a very tough team to contain this year and we wanted to bring some excitement to Pittsburgh . These 2 major deals have everyone in Pittsburgh buzzing and buying merchandise . season ticket sales have already sky rocketed by 20% and we should be able to sell out every game this season .

The team is currently looking to acquire some defensive help along with some wingers to play with the top 3 centres . This is a hot market and with the new additions players from the ufa market are calling Beamer like crazy , most of the guys in the league are excited and would love to have a chance to play here this upcoming season . Stay posted for more offseason moves by Pittsburgh
