Clemmensen wins battle of the goalies 2009-10-05 (AP) Scott Clemmensen has been tapped as the starting goalie for the Ottawa Senators. Though outplayed by Brian Boucher in preseason, the longtime backup netminder to Martin Brodeur has won the nod to open the 2009-2010 campaign as the Senators goaltender. Signed in the closing weeks of last season, Clemmensen figures to get about 50 starts this year while Boucher gets the other 30. One of them hopes to hang on into next season as the mentor to the team's goalie of the future, Cory Schneider, acquired at the trade deadline from Vancouver.
