Chara gone Wild

2010-01-20

Today was a big day for the Wild (pardon the pun) picking up Chara for Rafalski and a solid young D prospect.

"We feel this deal really makes us serious cup contenders. With a top line that features the Sedins with Doan or St Louis then Brian Campbell and Chara on D and Kipper in goal

that starting 6 can line up against anyone in the league" explains GM Mike. With a supporting cast that features Frolov and Kubina with Ott and Cooke on the third line the Wild have scoring,

size, speed as well as a good amount of greasy making a hard match up for anyone.

Only time will tell if this deal will work, but for a team that this time last year had the 2nd worse record in the league, the Wild are optimistic they will be able to run off a series of Ws and get into the playoffs. From there it is anyone's game.
