Matt Duchene Named Captain

In a move that was not suprising at all to many Matt Duchene was named the new Captain of the Calgary Flames also Ales Hemsky and Andrew Brunette got the honor of being named Alternate Captains. When asked to comment Matt Duchene had this to say "I am very honored that GM Derek Loftus has shown confidence in my skills". He was also asked what he thought when his old GM Dylan Wilson of the Florida Panthers made the decision to move him he said "I don't blame him he was doing what was best for the team and I wanted to play for a team where I could prove that I deserved to be on the top line I am extremely happy in Calgary and hope to bring a championship for the team in the near future.
