We will be holding our All-Star Game on March 10th this year. And this year I'm looking to create a little bit more interactivity with it.

 

First thing, I will be creating a topic on the message board on who will host the All-Star game. Each team who wants to host please right up a quick reason on why your city and you should host the game. After that the best 3 will be voted on by everyone to see who hosts. As the host you will be required to write both the pre and post game articles for the game (and they cant be just a paragraph). The host city will get a reward that will be decided (it will probably be something to do with Free Agency) and you will be one of the GMs.

 

 As for the next part, like the NHL we will hold a fantasy draft of 24 forwards, 12 Defensemen and 6 goalies. The host city will be one of the GMs and will get to name their team and an assistant GM, and the other team will have a GM picked by me and will also pick an assistant GM. The draft will be held a couple days before the game. 

 

For the voting Im going to use the method done by Mark  that he used in the PBMHL. Like normal we will pick the best 12 f, 6 D and 3 G from each conference. And where you pick them, will give them a weighted point value.

 

For example 

 

1. Joey Joe Joe Jr. Shabadoo (10 pts)

2. Hank Scorpio (8 pts)

 

and so on.

 

Send your picks to me for both East and West. They will be both combined in the fantasy draft pool. A small cash reward will be given to every team that votes, and cash will be given to teams for each player of theirs are voted into the game. The list of players that are up will be on the portal and message board.
