Sens make one big move at deadline

2012-05-08

Trade deadline day was plenty busy with 28 trades going down, but only one involved the Ottawa Senators. The Bennetts pulled off a deal with Corey's Sens dealing Drew Doughty to Brandon's Penguins for Tyler Myers, prospects Nathan Beaulieu and Tyler Pitlick, and a likely early 3rd round pick.

In his first game in Ottawa, Tyler Myers had 2 assists as he's quickly growing near to the hearts of Sens fans. Being 6'8 doesn't make hard to miss on the ice either. Corey Bennett wishes Doughty all the best in Pittsburgh, where he believes he'll thrive as well, and would like to welcome Myers, Beaulieu, and Pitlick to the organization.
