MRFHL Stanley Cup Finals

 Tampa Bay, FL, (AP)- Well the MRFHL Stanley Cup showdown is upon us, and it'll see the Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Kings square off against the Eastern Conference Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. During the regular season these two battled only two times and the Tampa Bay Lightning took both comtests, But this is a whole different game here. This is a battle for the MRFHL Stanley Cup Championship, a championship in which each and every team dreams of having.

  The Western Champ Kings swept a surprised Chicago Blackhawk squad in which is alway a threat year in and out. As a matter of fact the Kings have only two losses during there march to the Cup Finals. The Kings are undefeated on the road so far going 7 and 0. leading the way in scoring for the Kings is Alexander Semin, the russian sniper has been stellar for the Kings, leading the Kings on the ice scoring 10 goals, assisting on 10 tallys for 20 points, followed by hard hitting and working winger Tuomo. Rutuu, he has scored 8 goals, assisted on 11 for a total of 19 points, then there Centermen Tomas.Plekanec who has 7 goals, 10 assists for 17 pts. Guarding the twine has been Kari Lehtonen who has been a brick wall for the Kings posting 1.97 GAA which is supported by a .932 SV Pct and is 12 wins and 2 losses in the 14 contests the Kings have faced along the way. This club will be working hard to bring the cup to Hollywood.

 The Eastern Champ Lightning faced a high flying Panther club in the conference finals, there was alot on the line for both clubs. Florida looked to be well on the way to the finals as they took a 3 to 1 series lead, but the Lightning club had a big meeting and some line juggling and tinkering and fortunaltly came back in the series to win it in 7 excellent games. The Lightning got a gift for the conference finals as the got back Legwand for the series and he was nothing short of spectacular putting up 11 points in the series. The Lightning have had a very solid power play throughout the playoffs and that was one f the key factors in there defeat of the Panthers, hopefully they can continue to be solid on special teams. Leading the way for the Lightning heading into the finals is Marc Andre. Bergeron who has played very well all year, he has put up 11 goals, assisted on 10 for 21 points, followed by James.Wisniewski who has 2 markers and 16 assists for 18 points, tied with him is Centermen Dave Bolland who has 10 goals, 8 asissts for 18 points also. Netminder Pekka Rinne has continued to guard the mesh posting 2.35 GAA with a solid .923 SV Pct, that supported with 12 wins 3 losses and 3 losses in Overtime in the 18 match-ups they've encountered during there road to the finals. The Bolts want to bring the hardware to the Sunny seaside.

The finals should be exciting and who can rein supreme will be the question, It'll be tough to find an available ticket to this match-up, but those who are lucky enough to snag one should certainly enjoy one hell of a battle. Wishing good luck to both Organizations.
