Senators awaiting UFA decisions 2012-08-13 Ottawa, Ontario Canada Reports out of Ottawa late last night and early this morning indicate that the Ottawa Senators are awaiting decisions from several big name UFAs and may be close on one or more of those players. When approached on the subject GM Todd Westacott confirmed that he has had continuing dialogue with the MRFHL agents regarding several players but refused to comment on who those players might be stating a team policy of not discussing players that who's rights are not property of the Ottawa Senators. He did whoever indicate that management is making a big push to improve on last years playoff exit in the Conference Semi-Finals and that the Free Agent market could potentially play a big part in building a championship team for the upcoming season. With Free Agency now moving full steam ahead the next few days should provide some answers as to what this years edition of the Ottawa Senators will look like and if GM Todd Westacott is successful in landing any big additions or chooses to just add depth to the roster.
