Jets off to Great Start!

2012-10-27

The Jets are off to a surpising start in the MRHL.  The Jets had a 6-2 pre season record and got the fans excited with there good record, but they all thought this rebuilding franchise had a lucky start to the pre season.

Now with 10 games into the Regular Season the Jets find themselves with a surprising 7-3 record.  Putting them tied for top spot in the Eastern Conference and 4th overall in the league.   With not too many stars on there roster yet, they are waiting for young guns to develop in there prospect system and farm.  However that has not stopped the Jets from developing some chemistry and the Goalies Standing on there head so far early in the season.   Ales Hemsky who was picked up in the Summer thru free agency leads the team with 9 points.  But the biggest story is the play of Goaltender Matt Climie and Jonathan Bernier.  Bernier has a 5-2 record, 2.51 G.,A.A and a .921 Save Percentange.  While Matt Climie is 2-1 with a 1.67 G.A.A and a .949 Save Percentage.

" I don't wanna get to excited, has there is a lot of games left to be played, but i am very happy with the start we had and so are the fans.  We are not expected to do so good yet while we rebuild, but this is nice and we hope things continue and shock teams and surprise the rest of the league."  Says Schurman
