Canucks add size at Centre

2013-01-16

The Canucks acquired Jordan Staal  from their division rival the Calgary Flames.  The Canucks have had interest in Staal for a long time, but finally were able to put the pieces together to acquire him.  The move gives the Canucks solid depth down the middle.  Stall has shown he can dominate at both ends of the ice.  Also coming Vancouver's way is young offensive dman Nikita Nikitin.

The price was not cheap though.  The Canucks sent Evander Kane and Karl Alzner the other way.  Both were covited players but you have to move talent to get talent.

Look for the Canucks to continue to tweak their line up in persuit of the Cup.
