Moves in Shark Town

2014-11-25

It has been a busy 24 hours for Sharks GM Mathew Peltier, With a plethera of UFA'S the Sharks GM made some impressive trades including eleven players and a prospect and a first round pick.

Teams involved in these trades included the Montreal Canadians, Tampa Bay Lightning and Buffalo Sabers

Peltier begain the morning sending Star Dmen Brayden Coburn and Torrey Mitchell to the Sabers in return for Ales Hemsky Sven Baertschi and Cory Conacher. ''We needed to make this deal not only have we had several questions about all of our UFA'S but we also needed some help on the wings, this will help us big time'' Peltier said.

It didnt take long for Peltier to sink his teeth in to a deal that will bring Young and upcoming DMEN Jordie Benn to the Shark Tank along with prospect Juho Lammikko and Columbas first round pick this year. Benn will step in to the empty spot left by Coborn, Heading to Tampa is Nino Niederrriter, ''It was a hard move for us to make but we needed to make a dea;l happen, two teams were very interested in him and this deal was the one that worked best for us in the position we are in''

After we thought we had seen everything out of the Sharks GM he pulled off another move sending UFA Anton Stralman to the Candians for Ryan Carter and Mark Fayne adding depth to there RFA'S and to his roster.

Peltier had this to say ''To cap off a busy 24 hours, our goal was to come away with tallented players with contracts that would work best for us, the GM before my time did not help much in terms of knowledge about building a team but we are moving forward with the group we have and things are looking up in Shark Town.

We wish the players that have departed the best with there new teams, And we cannot wait for our new comers to arrive.
