Flames Make Big Moves

2014-12-22

On the day of the trade deadline had you asked GM Derek Loftus if they would be making any moves he would of simply said no only one of the moves was discussed and debated for almost 2 weeks (6 months according to Ron ;) ). The Calgary fanbase is happy to welcome to solid youngers in Patrik Berglund and Valeri Nichuskinin, management feels that this was a good move and feels that both players could help address a need with Berglund competing for 2C against Brandon Sutter and Valeri hopefully slotting into our top 6 next year. Our scouting staff who holds distaste for Florida management for trying to poach them from Calgary where they are treated as part of the Flames family and paid fair salary for the great work they put forward, they had nothing but praise for Nichuskinin and said that he was worth the risk of loosing out on Mantha and Bennett. When asked if the Flames had anymore moves in the works GM Derek Loftus simply said "We have nothing planned as of now but things change fast in this industry we would like to thank the fans of Calgary for being patient with us and believe this could be our year".

Dylan Wilson

If you actually read the article, I didn't poach anyone. THEY CAME TO ME! So stop making up shit, you don't have a scouting staff anymore.

Dylan Wilson This is why your staff left Derek, you can't even remember your last picks. Your last two picks were Viktor Crus Rydberg and Cole Ully, both dealt in under 24 hours to Dallas.
