Islanders Commit To Playoff Push
2017-02-28In a bold move tonight the Islanders have moved one of the prize gems in their system in Dylan Strome for former 50 goal guy Corey Perry of the rival Pittsburgh Penguins. When finally contacted GM Robert Jacklin had the following statement
"It's tough to move a young star like Dylan Strome. We were lucky to have the chance to draft a player of that calibre but given the recent moves this season and our commitment to be competitive within our division we felt this was a move that betters our franchise for the now and future. Adding an elite player like Corey Perry to our team is a bold move & to go deep in the playoffs you need experience. I wish Dylan nothing but the best within the Pittsburgh organization. Now we focus on the next part of our plan and will be working the phones to make a few more moves as we head towards the Trade Deadline and the post season. Thank you for your time."
This means I have to come up with something big to keep up now, doesn't it?
