Edmonton adds Malkin and Giordano

2018-01-31

A long set of trade talks with Pittsburgh saw Malkin pack his bags and head for Edmonton.

"We promised Malkin the beaches of Edmonton are great, it's warm, you are surrounded by mountains, and the people are definitely not miserable bitches" claimed Oilers GM Tanner Braithwaite.

In exchange the oilers sent a 2nd round pick, Ryan O'reilly, and minor leaguers Conacher, Milano, and Wotherspoon. The Oilers also recieved a third and fifth round pick.

Later in the day, the Oilers called up Austin Evans, the GM of the Red Wings to get him to do something stupid. GM Evans was ready to comply, and promptly sent Gio away for Calle Jarnkork, Stephen Johns, Christian Erhoff, and a fifth. Oilers will also recieve a fourth round pick in the 2019 draft. The Oilers now boast McDonough, Ristolainen, Giordano, Brodie, and Muzzin on the backend. A D-core that Strikes the fear into the heart of most.

When asked if they were done for the season, the Oilers GM claimed "Most likely until the trade deadline. We may be looking to add a 3rd line LW. That would get Raffl out of the lineup. He's trash"
