It Feels Good To Be Home!

2018-04-23

-Raleigh, NC

With a great performance from Carey Price, Matt Cullen, and Radim Vrbata, the Carolina Hurricanes were able to beat the Columbus Blue Jackets in Game 3 of their first round playoff series by a score of 3-2 to take a 2-1 series lead.

"We owe a pat on the back to our goalie, I thought he was phenomenal tonight" commented Willie Desjardins, "I also liked how our veterans like Matt and Radim have taken their game to another level in the playoffs. That being said, we still have room to improve as our PP is not where we'd like it to be". Desjardins kept his comments short and maintained the fact that their sole focus is on Game 4 where the Hurricanes can push the Blue Jackets to the brink of elimination with a win. "Every game is important and a must-win in the playoffs" Desjardins stated.

"They're a good team, but so are we" said Desjardins when asked about how he felt regarding the series thus far, "in my mind, we should be up 3-0 in this series if not for a lapse in concentration in Game 2 where we gave up a lead and lost in overtime. I know they'll be ready to go Tuesday and so will we". This series has been close in every game and the Hurricanes are ready to go to battle.

A lot of credit goes out to Willie Desjardins and his staff as not only has his team been prepared every game but they have developed a strong work ethic. Game 4 goes tomorrow night at the PNC Arena as the Hurricanes look to extend their series lead. 'Canes fan, let's see you out in full force supporting your team!
