Flyers Making Moves To Contend

2019-07-27

Flyers GM Has been in a tough spot with the team over the past two years since coming in to take over.

Peltier mentioned in an interview “the team was miss managed prior to my arrival and the cupboards are bare, we had a strong year last year finishing 16th in the league but we believe we have more to prove in the up coming year”

Peltier traded away a draft pick to acquire Jeff Carter, Carter then signed on with the team. Carter coming off a off year last year will look for a strong bounce back first season with the Flyers.

The Flyers GM then late last night came across an offer from the LA Kings which has Erik Johnson and Darren helm along with a prospect goalie in Evan Fitzpatrick and another prospect. Peltier mentioned this deal that was propsed was something we were looking for a top two Dmen and depth forward along with prospects to boot. “We could not walk away from this offer”

Peltier has been on the phone with many teams trying to gain a direction of what way the team will progress. At this point it has been mentioned Pekke Rinne could be on the move. The Flyers May also be in the running for a top four Dmen.

Mat this point the Flyers currently have the 16th overall pick as well as a second and third in this years draft. It maybe possible that all three if not one pick moves before Monday to bring in more depth in the defensive position. The Next 48 hours could be interested my in Philly.
