Pens' Evgeni Dadonov wins the Lady Byng Trophy

2020-06-29

PITTSBURGH (AP) Pittsburgh Penguins winger Evgeni Dadonov enjoyed a career year in 2019-2020, scoring 66 goals along with 77 assists for an amazing 143 points.

The Russian, who can play both wings, culminated his season by being named winner of the MRFHL Lady Byng trophy, for gentlemanly play.  Despite his high amount of ice time, Dadonov only accumulated 8 penalty minutes.

Acknowledging the Russian's accomplishments, Pens team owner/general manager handed a grateful Dadonov the keys to a 1976 Dodge Dart automobile.  Said Brown: "We believe in rewarding our players for high achievement, above and beyond the call of duty.  Evgeni has done our organization and our city proud."
