We Believe in these Blues and we will not be making any deadline deals

The Blues have had a tough season. What appeared to be a contending team has really hit the bricks lately and are swimming around the bottom of the league. This reporter had a scheduled interview with GM Stu but upon showing up at his office in the arena he was nowhere to be found. I received a call shortly thereafter providing a number to contact the General Manager. When I called I was greeted by a lovely nurse receptionist who said Stu has been awaiting my call and has been repeating the scheduled time out loud to himself to ensure he doesn’t miss it. He’s also been saying “Noah Cates is criminally underrated” but they chalked it up to his mental breakdown he recently suffered.
GM Stu picked up the phone and appeared surprisingly calm, confident even. He tells me the walls are nice and soft and he’s been treated better than he has since he was a child.
Stu spoke for some time about how the Blues just need a quick 10-12 game winning streak to get back on track and that Morgan Rielly hasn’t regressed to the point of uselessness, but just needs a good night’s sleep. He also informed me he was caught trying to trade the rest of the 1st round picks he had for further third line depth “You can never have too much defence” he said. “You miss 100% of the third line depth players you don’t trade for” he also commented.
Stu finished the call informing this reporter that the President and CEO of the Blues involuntarily committed him when he said Ryan O’Reilly is still a 1st line center in this league. It was simply too much for the family and those close to him to have to deal with.
We reached the President of the Blues and he confirmed Stu is still very much the GM and acted incredulous when we suggested maybe a new GM should be hired. “The MRFHL has a long history of never ever ever ever ever changing the General Managers and we are not about to now”.
GM Stu left off saying that as long as he’s out of his new dwelling in time for the playoffs there should be no issue. I simply didn’t have the heart to ask what relevance the playoffs has to these Blues.
Signing off.

Wait... so are the Blues not making ANY trades before the deadline, or are they just not making additions?
