In his place, Terry Murray was signed to a reported three year contract at an undisclosed sum to lead the team to the cup. "Bryan Murray will take on some responsibilities in the front office," Ottawa multimillionaire owner Gary Brown told the press, adding "At age 66 he thought it was time to hang it up. His younger brother Terry was only too happy to take over the coaching job." In another related move, Mike Yeo was hired to coach the farm team Binghamton Senators. Yeo, 36, was an assistant in Pittsburgh, including the team that won the Stanley Cup two seasons ago.
