Bruins and Buff-liens Don't Mix

With an increasingly crowded roster, Bruins GM pulled the trigger on another trade. Opting to place more stock into the future, the Bruins have acquired David Jones, Jacob Josefson and a 2^nd round pick in 2011 for Dustin Byfuglien and a 4^th round pick in 2011.

“This trade keeps us competitive while adding a quality prospect to our stable. Dustin has been a consummate professional and is a great player. We feel that this trade gives him (Dustin) more opportunity.”

Recent rumors speculated that Byfuglien was not satisfied with his ice-time and wanted a bigger role on the team. With the acquisition of Kostitsyn and Zherdev, Clouston opted to move Byfulien to the blueline. Elevated play by Jack Hillen and Kris Russell have ultimately led to the trade.

New comer David Jones has a lot to prove coming off an injury plagued season and will probably see some fourth line ice time with Darren Helm and Fredrik Sjostrom.
