Canucks continue to tweak roster

The Canucks GM has continued to make minor changes to his roster since the regular season has started. In seperate deals the Canucks have bolstered the Centre position by aquiring Manny Malhotra from Phoenix for Jarkko Ruutu and Colin Fraser from Chicago for a 2nd round pick. The Canucks also added some toughness to the farm team by aquiring Jared Boll from Columbus for Wayne Primeau and a 5th rounder. He is filling the void after the boogie man Derek Boogaard was moved to Calgary for a prospect and a 5th rounder. Kirk Maltby's future with the team is in limbo as the deal that would send him to Colorado is under review by the league. Should the deal fall through Maltby is expected to be sent down to play with the Moose. The Canucks also added foward Aaron Volpatti to the farm team. More news as it happens
