Dynamic Duo

In one short week the Boston Bruins organization has experienced major changes. Early in the week GM Valente shipped out the top scoring forward Alexander Semin and brought in two young players in Zach Bogosian and Kyle Okposo. Both players will be looked upon to play a large role in the future success of Boston.

In a blockbuster deal the Boston Bruins sent Andrei Kostitsyn, Thomas Fleischmann, Nikolai Zherdev and Andre Meszaros to Phoenix in return for Patrick Kane and prospect Tomas Tatar.

The price tag for Kane was large but with promising talent I the minors and budding prospects maturing the Bruins felt they could make this deal without the risk of being uncompetitive. The Bruins needed to fill a hole left by trading top point getter from last season to Columbus for a promising young blue liner Zach Bogosian and forward Kyle Okposo. The Bruins looked for a top tier forward to play along side their franchise Jonathan Toews. After several phone calls to various GM’s around the league Boston decided to make a brash move to acquire Patrick Kane.
