Canucks Bolster Defence

2010-12-28

In a bid to make a solid playoff run this year the Canucks have bolstered their defence by acquiring Chris Pronger.  The move adds a number one shut down guy to an already solid group of dmen.  Pronger has a history of helping teams get to the finals and the Canucks are hoping that will continue.

Pronger did not come cheap as the Canucks sent some young talent in Blake Comeau, Doug Murray and Nic Hjalmarsson along with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick in exchange for Pronger, Matt Carkner and a 3rd and 4th round pick.
