New Flames Captain

In an astonishing move today the flames saw captain Patrick Marleau leave for young and upcoming Rookies Brandon Sutter and Lars Eller while most fans wonder why GM Derek Loftus would make such a move he feels confident that the flames could afford to loose Marleau with the aqusition of Marian Gaborik. The question is who will be the new captain of the Calgary Flames and it seems GM Derek Loftus had already decided after trading Patrick Marleau away that Ryan Getzlaf would be the new Captain for the Flames and Marian Gaborik and Dion Phaneuf earned Assistant status. GM Derek Loftus was quoted saying "trading marleau was the hardest decision we made aside from moving Alexander Ovechkin but we wish Patty the best of luck in Columbus and know he will be missed by the team.
